  1. How long does it take for you to complete my order?
    There are multiple answers to this question, depending on the scope of the project. Some jobs can be produced quickly and some may take weeks. Let us know when you need your job completed. We go to great lengths to meet your most stringent demands.

  2. What is a "proof"?
    A proof is a way of ensuring that we have set your type accurately and that everything is positioned according to your requirements. Typically, we will produce a proof which will be sent to you online or printed on paper which can be viewed in our store or delivered to you in person.

    On multiple color jobs, we can produce a color proof on our color output device to show an accurate representation of the final product.

  3. Why do I need to look at a proof if I've already given you everything I need to have done?
    We employ human beings to produce your work and, last time we checked, humans are not perfect. Your approval on the final proof is assurance that you have looked over every aspect of our work and approve it as accurate. It benefits everyone if errors are caught in the proofing process rather than after the job is completed and delivered.

  4. Do I still need to approve a proof if I bring my work in on disk?
    It may seem like a proof wouldn't be needed in this case but it really is. Output devices process digital information using a variety of processing languages. Your approval of the proof which we will provide assures that the output device used has correctly interpreted and processed the information you have provided. Additionally, we can confirm with you material choice, quantities and finishing instructions.

  5. How do I go about getting an estimate from you?
    Well, since you are here, we would suggest you use our online estimate request form. Otherwise, the best way to ensure that we get all the information necessary to do an accurate quote, give us a call and talk with one of our customer service representatives.

  6. How should I prepare a file for you?
    Designing for large-format is simple if you follow a few basic rules and guidelines:

    * all images should be 180 dpi at finished printed size or greater for best results;
    * all images should be in their native CMYK format. If in RGB, convert to CMYK;
    * Include all links and fonts or convert all graphics and text to outlines (vector format) when sending a file;
    * file types we accept include vector pdf, eps, ai and psd.

  7. Do I need a sign permit?
    If the sign is going on the outside of your building, the answer is probably yes. Please call to go over your job specifications with us and we will help you through the process. We have provided a link to Portland's sign codes in the "Services" area of this website. For sign codes in other cities, please call.

  8. How long will my sign last?
    We have products to meet your needs whether its for a weekend or a lifetime. We will help you choose the right product and application.

  9. Will you visit my business to over my sign project?Absolutely! Give us a call and we'll schedule a specific time to meet you at the project site or your office.

  10. Can you print my business cards too?
    No, we're sorry we cannot print business cards, stationery, brochures, etc. However, we work with most printers should you need artwork emailed to them. If you don't have a printer, a good source is Documart. Their website is www.documart.com

  11. Can you print our logo on T-shirts, coffee mugs, etc?
    We'd love to do that for you but we don't have the expertise. If you have someone who can do it for you, we can send over artwork. If not, a source that we use often is Marco - Ideas Unlimited; their website is www.marcopdx.com
